Lunch and Recess

Kindergarten through 8th grade eat in the cafeteria every day. Lunch and recess are each 20 minutes (total 40 minutes). PK Full eats lunch in their classroom.

There is a teacher and two parent volunteers available in the cafeteria to oversee lunch everyday. Healthy Kids Kitchen is the company that provides Saint Clement with a hot lunch program. The menu will be published each trimester.

Saint Clement is unable to refrigerate or microwave lunches brought by students. Please remember to send utensils with your child if his/her lunch requires them.

If your child forgets their lunch, they will be given a snack from our school pantry. Parents can also bring the lunch later. They should check-in with the office and then bring the lunch directly to the cafeteria and place it on the table on the north wall.

We are mindful of waste in our cafeteria. We are encouraging all parents to pack lunches in reusable containers and to only pack portions that your child can consume in a twenty minute lunch period. We are committed, as a school, to be conscious of how waste affects our environment.

Saint Clement is not a nut-free school. However, we are conscious about allergy safety and designate one nut-free table in our cafeteria for this situation. Any student with a nut-free lunch is welcome to sit at this table.
